Charlotte Muse is a Pharmacology Doctoral Candidate in Dr. Peter Panizzi’s lab in the Department of Drug Discovery & Development at Auburn University’s Harrison College of Pharmacy. She previously received her B.S. and Pharm.D. from Auburn University. Her current research projects and interests include: (1) developing an in vivo pigletmodel of Staphylococcus aureus endocarditis; (2) utilizing bioluminescent Streptococcus pyogenes (Xen20) strain to explore its pathogenesis, metabolism, and glucose biosensing potential; and (3) investigating the characteristics and hemostatic capability of an S. aureus recombinant staphylocoagulase.
