The Alabama chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is bringing its Research Roadshow to Auburn on Wednesday, April 24. Set to begin at 6:30 p.m., the Research Roadshow will take place in Room 1118 in the Harrison College of Pharmacy’s Walker Building and virtually via Zoom. Both the in-person and virtual events are open to the public.
The Auburn stop is one of three the Alzheimer’s Association is making in Alabama, including Huntsville on Monday and Birmingham on Tuesday. Each event will be moderated by Alzheimer’s Association Alabama Chapter Program Manager Billy Curtis, who will also present a 15-minute research update followed by a presentation by a local researcher. Presenting at the Auburn event are Drs. Raj Amin and Amal Kaddoumi.
Amin, associate professor in the Department of Drug Discovery and Development, will give a presentation titled “What’s New in Drug Discovery for Alzheimer’s Disease.” Kaddoumi, professor in the Department of Drug Discovery and Development, will give a presentation titled "Does Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Prevent MCI Conversion to Alzheimer's Disease?"
