University Writing invites all graduate students to participate in our fall programs: WriteFest, Graduate Writing Groups and the Graduate Research and Writing Studio.
WriteFest is a series of four sessions offering structured writing time and education about habits that support productivity while completing longer projects. These sessions incorporate reflection and mindfulness to encourage well-being while writing. Sessions will be held every other week beginning Sept. 4, and attendance can be in person or virtual. Complete the WriteFest registration form by Sept. 2 to register for the program.
Graduate Writing Groups can help you maintain progress on your current writing projects, such as your dissertation, thesis, course project or ePortfolio. Participants will check in with their group members to share their weekly writing goals, reflect on their writing progress and challenges and encourage each other. Please complete the Graduate Writing Groups registration form by Sept. 2.
The Graduate Research and Writing Studio is a weekly writing retreat with a graduate writing consultant and research librarian available to answer questions as needed. The Studio will meet every Tuesday between Sept. 3 and Nov. 19 from 1-4 p.m. in RBD Library. Please complete the Graduate Research and Writing Studio survey to register for the program.
