On Feb. 5-7, 2025, executive council leadership from Auburn University's Interfraternity Council (IFC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Panhellenic Council, and Greek Auxiliary groups attended the Southeastern Greek Leadership Association (SGLA) Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This three-day educational event brought together hundreds of fraternity and sorority leaders from across the southeastern United States to celebrate excellence in leadership, philanthropy, community service, and academic achievement. A total of 20 students represented Auburn University at the conference.

"This event is an educational opportunity for our top student leaders represented across our three councils. Students learn practical information to apply in their new leadership roles. This is also an opportunity for our councils to be nationally recognized for the impact they make on Auburn's campus through their programming efforts", said Lindsay Holdren, Director of Greek Life.

Auburn University was honored with several awards at the SGLA conference, highlighting the contributions the three councils have made to the Greek community over the past year. The awards received by Auburn University's governing councils included:

While at SGLA, students have the opportunity to attend large and small educational sessions that span topics from best practices in fraternity and sorority operations to leadership and personal development. “SGLA was a great opportunity for me to get to learn how to be a leader for this generation of students. It also inspired me to understand Panhellenic recruitment from the perspective of potential new members, allowing us to offer them the best possible experience”, said Maggie Lynch, Panhellenic Vice President for Recruitment.

Auburn University’s strong presence at SGLA reflects the dedication and hard work of its fraternity and sorority leaders. As these students return to campus, they bring fresh ideas and renewed enthusiasm to further strengthen and support the Auburn Greek experience.
