Auburn University launched the first module of the new electronic research administration and compliance software solution last week. The system, newly named ENDEAVOR, rolled out to a few initial employees at Auburn and Auburn University at Montgomery for the purpose of creating their conflict of interest disclosure and creating a pre-approval request for faculty consulting.

Some employees received a message from no-reply@huronclick.com, which appeared as spam or phishing. The new emails will come from ERA@auburn.edu. Anyone who received a message from huronclick and deleted it may enter their COI information at https://endeavor.auburn.edu.

The user interface is different, but the questions are essentially the same as what has been requested in the past. The benefits of using the new COI module in Endeavor are the ability to submit COI disclosures and faculty consulting preapproval requests in one place, connectivity with other modules in the next 12-24 months to track research proposals, awards and IRB/IACUC/IBC submissions without having to log in to multiple systems and rolling annual deadlines with automatic notifications.

The first wave of the rollout occurred for a subset of employees on Jan. 16.  The second wave will roll out on Jan. 29 and the third wave on Feb. 12.  All full-time employees should complete their initial COI Disclosure Profile in the new system by March 1. You must click the “Complete Disclosure Profile Update” button on the last screen to submit and complete your disclosure. Your profile status will then show “No Action Required.”

Auburn employees can find more information about the conflict of interest and commitment disclosure program at https://aub.ie/coi.
