Auburn University offers a limited number of competitive scholarships to students with a parent or guardian who is an Auburn alumnus. Applicants must indicate legacy status on their admission and scholarship applications in AUSOM by the February 14 priority date. Consideration does not guarantee an award.

Auburn Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship

  • Award: $2,000 for one year

  • Eligibility: First-year or transfer students with a parent/guardian who is a life member of the Auburn Alumni Association by February 1; 3.0 GPA minimum; cannot have previously received a scholarship equal to or greater than resident tuition.

  • Award Rate: 31% of eligible applicants (2024–25)

Golden Eagles Annual Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 for one year

  • Eligibility: First-year or transfer students with a life member alumni parent/guardian and demonstrated financial need (FAFSA required); 3.0 GPA and 25–29 ACT or equivalent SAT.

  • Award Rate: 2% of eligible applicants (2024–25)

Student Alumni Ambassador Endowed Scholarship

  • Award: $1,000 for one year

  • Eligibility: Current students in the Student Alumni Ambassadors with a 3.5+ Auburn GPA; preference for students with financial need (FAFSA required).

Auburn Club Scholarships

  • Funded through local alumni clubs across the country

  • Found in AUSOM by searching "alumni" or "county"

  • Students should provide any required supplemental information

External scholarships are awarded by employers, companies, foundations, and other organizations independent of Auburn University. Criteria vary and may include academics, financial need, affiliations, or unique qualifications. Students are encouraged to pursue as many external scholarships as possible.

Enrollment & Academic Verification
Some donors require proof of enrollment or academic standing. Students should contact the Office of the Registrar at (334) 844-4770 or visit the Registrar’s website to request enrollment verification or official transcripts.

Payment Instructions
Preferred payment methods: ACH, E-Check, or credit card. Donors should contact the scholarship specialist to set up payment accounts. Funds received electronically are typically credited within 3 business days.

  • Applicants must complete the AUSOM scholarship application by the stated deadline.

  • Additional opportunities may be available for students pursuing National Prestigious Scholarships.

Ever to Conquer Scholarship

  • Up to $6,000/year

  • For incoming Alabama residents with financial need

  • Awarded mid-January through mid-March, based on available funding

  • FAFSA required; no separate application needed

Payment & Renewal

  • Students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours by the 15th class day each term

  • Funds are credited to the university billing account and split between fall and spring

  • Scholarships may be used for professional or ABM programs if a first undergraduate degree is not yet completed

  • Early graduates are not eligible to receive unused funds

  • Exceptions may be granted for medical, military, or co-op withdrawals

Scholarships are awarded to talented students participating in Auburn’s music, band, and choir ensembles.

  • Students must complete the AUSOM application and complete an audition by the priority deadline.

  • Awards are based on musical promise, ensemble needs, and program requirements.

Music: Scholarships for music majors auditioning on designated dates.
Band: Available to students of all majors; participation in an ensemble is required.
Choir: Open to both music and non-music majors; some awards require ensemble participation and an audition.

Auburn’s top-ranked ROTC program offers federally funded and donor-supported scholarships.

  • Federally funded ROTC scholarships are awarded by each military branch and processed by Student Business & Account Services.

  • Donor-funded ROTC scholarships require students to complete the AUSOM application by the priority deadline.

Auburn’s Veterans Resource Center supports current and former military service members and their dependents.

  • Scholarships are available through AUSOM, and the application must be completed by the priority deadline.

  • Search AUSOM using keywords like: Veteran, Armed forces, Military, or American Legion.

  • Supplemental documentation may be required for some awards.
