To advance the mission of the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM), we must be bold — in creating new experiences and enhancing existing academic programs for our students, in exploring new frontiers in research and innovation, and in fostering collaborative leadership that strengthens our college. 2. Bold Frontiers in Research – Recruiting and nurturing world-class faculty, coupled with developing COSAM-led research centers, builds on our departmental and interdisciplinary strengths. We also want to advance entrepreneurship to bring COSAM research innovation to Alabama and the nation.

Bold Leadership – Creating Faculty Fellows in academics, research, and inclusion will ensure strength in instructional effectiveness, collaborative research growth, and a welcoming, equitable environment for all.
