Currently the Cary Center is partnering with community foundations and nonprofits across the state of Alabama and beyond to produce capacity building training for nonprofit professionals, board members, and community members. A current program, titled “Grow Your Nonprofit: Resources to Maximize Impact” includes sessions on nonprofit accounting basics, board responsibilities and effectiveness, fundraising and grant writing, and building effective partnerships.

The Cary Center’s Community and Collegiate Programs are committed to educating, empowering, and equipping the next generation of nonprofit leaders. Through engaging offerings—such as the in-person Nonprofit Training Series, monthly virtual sessions, the Nonprofit Affiliate Program, Mix & Mingles, and other outreach initiatives—nonprofit professionals gain invaluable opportunities to connect, grow, and lead with confidence. These programs provide not only targeted professional development but also a supportive network designed to strengthen leadership and amplify impact in the nonprofit sector.
