Grading
Class participation:
Reading selections will require a good deal of thought because they are the basis for your presentations.  For this reason, you will be expected to post your reflections concerning these assignments as well as to answer any assigned questions. Your remarks will receive points that will count toward your participation grade.  Each student will present one sample format from Omaggio Hadley or from my handouts.
Micro-lessons:
Students will create micro-lessons for each of five topics: 1) Information Exchange Tasks, 2) Focused Grammar Input/Output, 3) Creative Writing, 4) Reading/Writing (Connections), 5) Reading/Writing (Culture).  These lessons will be quiz grades.
In addition, each student will teach one micro-lesson as an in-class demonstration. This will be a presentation grade.
Special Projects:
All special projects will be evaluated according to the rubrics included in the special assignment webpages.
Exams:
The final examination will have several application questions as well as one or more essay questions related to the theory we will cover.
