Grading

              Daily discussions:
             These discussions will be based on readings for which students will turn in written homework one day prior to class meeting.  Students will receive
             grade for all written homework.
 

Special Presentations:

These presentations will be assigned by the professor and will count for participation.

Special Assignments:

Your thematic unit will be evaluated according to the rubric included in the Special Assignment packet. Check reading lists for references anad authentic materials.

Evaluation:

Weights for evaluations: Homework and Presentations 35% Special Assignments  45% Final Exam  20%

Scale: All objectives must be fulfilled with a "C" or better in order to qualify for internship.  A 92 - 100 B 82 - 91 C 72 - 83

Class Policy:  Unexcused absences will result in a lower grade, and three tardies will constitute an unexcused absence.  All students must watch the classes that they miss, and they will write a summary of the class and submit it to the GTA to receive attendance credit. Students who need special accommodations should make an appointment to discuss the Accommodation Memo during my office hours as soon as possible.  If scheduled office hours conflict with classes, please arrange an alternate appointment time.  If you do not have an accommodation Memo, but need special accommodations, contact the Program for Students with Disabilities in 1244 Haley Center (844-2096 V/TTY).
