Miss Auburn

Miss Auburn is a unique role among SEC universities, serving as the official hostess and female ambassador of Auburn University since 1934. Elected by the student body on a platform that inspires and unites campus, she represents Auburn’s spirit, hospitality, and values to students, alumni, prospective students, and the broader community.

During her term, Miss Auburn helps host university events, supports campus initiatives, and works closely with the SGA President, executive team, and the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen. She also collaborates with the Office of the President, Development, Athletics, Student Affairs, and the City of Auburn, embodying warmth, professionalism, and authenticity.

The role has evolved from a purely symbolic position to one of active service and leadership. Notably, in 1965–66, Chris Akin Adams, the only woman to serve as both Miss Homecoming and Miss Auburn, helped create the War Eagle Girls, which would later become the War Eagle Girls and Plainsmen, to expand this spirit of representation and hospitality. Today, Miss Auburn continues to be a strong, visible, and genuine ambassador for the university, upholding its enduring traditions and values.

In addition to her public role, Miss Auburn leads a team — Chief of Staff, VP of Outreach, and VP of Marketing — that works closely with all sectors of SGA to strengthen her platform and expand campus impact. The Chief of Staff oversees operations, budget, and SGA coordination; the VP of Outreach connects with campus and community partners to schedule appearances; and the VP of Marketing manages branding and communications to uphold the tradition and professionalism of the role. Together, they engage the campus community and represent Auburn with authenticity and pride.
