Most Employees Now Go Paperless for Their Tax Forms

M

ost employees of Auburn and AUM (56%) have chosen to go paperless for their W-2 forms. By opting for electronic W-2 forms, employees are not only reducing paper waste but also benefiting from the convenience and efficiency that digital documents provide.

Going paperless with W-2 forms offers several advantages:

  • Earlier access to Form W-2, which is in an IRS-approved, PDF format.

  • No possibility for a lost, stolen, delayed, or misplaced Form W-2 in the mail.

  • At any time, you can access your Form W-2 at home, at your accountant’s office, or anywhere else.

  • Access is secure; the forms can only be accessed with AU credentials.

  • Going paperless promotes sustainability by reducing paper and is a cost savings (forms, printing, and postage expense) for Auburn University.

  • Prior years’ forms are also available.
